This is Panorama disk #9B -- September 24, 1986 (Developers Meeting)
-= Compiled by Brian R. Niessen =-
Notice the number, 9B? Well, it means something. For the rest of the
year, the disks will be numbered after the month (9=Sept) and A,B,C, etc,
depending on how many disks there are at this time.
Come January, 1987, there will be a new numbering scheme implemented,
utilizing volume numbers, and disk numbers. More to come on that.
Well, the items of interest on this disk are as follows:
Cosmo-Roids
-----------
"Asteroids" game from Vancouver's own John Harris. Great animation.
Even works with extended memory systems.
Clocks
------
Yes, there are more clocks, but these ones are 820 (Spriteclock) and
676 (Windowclock) bytes each. Amazing what Machine Language on the Amiga
can accomplish.
SpriteClock is a clock that uses sprites to display the time each minute
for about 2 seconds on the right hand side of the screen.
Windowclock is a clock that sits on the title bar, like others, but the
size makes it so great.
View
----
View will let you view a text file and scroll through it using a proportional
gadget AKA Slider.
VT100
-----
Source, Object and Executable for the latest and supposedly greatest
VT100 emulator. Includes PF keys, line drawing commands, etc.
Rubik
-----
Source and object for the Rubik Cube demonstration.
DVideo
------
Another deluxe video, complete with Music, bit mapped graphics, and the
DVideo player. From "AmiProject" Magazine.
Triclops
--------
Gotta see it to believe it. A PD game (with a few bugs) in 3D using
fractal generation to create the planet and landscape. Incredibly done,
as the blitter chip was programmed directly. Complete with a book
of instructions.
FixHunk
-------
A program to aid all you people with extra RAM (over the standard 512K)
by making graphic programs use CHIP memory. Allows you to ATOMize an
executable program.
Modula_Src
----------
Source and object for a Print function in Modula2.
